Early Career Researcher History Event

One Day History Event (AHRC)

By Simon Brown

The Arts and Humanities Research Council

The Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) is holding a one day History event which will bring together members of our Peer Review College (PRC) and early career researchers from across the discipline. The day will be both an opportunity to discuss the current state of the discipline, including emerging areas of interest, as well as to share learning around developing funding applications.

Who is the event for?

This event is open to members of the AHRC PRC and any early career researchers conducting research in the discipline of history.

For our peer reviewers this event is an opportunity to:

  • Discuss the current position of History subject areas and recent and ongoing developments in the discipline
  • To build connections with other researchers
  • To support early career researcher development related to applying for grant.

For early career researchers this event is an opportunity to:

  • Discuss the current position of History subject areas and recent and ongoing developments in the discipline
  • To build connections with other researchers
  • To learn more about the AHRC grant application and review process.

How to register

There are separate registration forms for PRC members and early career researchers (links below). If there are more registrations than places available we will select attendees in order to ensure a balance between PRC members and early career researchers and to ensure a wide coverage of sub disciplines.

For any members of our PRC who also qualify as an early career researcher you are free to register using either form.
