Student Zone is now live!
With your username and password provided by your history teacher you now have access to a whole range of resources, podcasts and guides tailored for students studying history at A Level, IB or Cambridge Pre-U.
The Big Picture Podcast series - leading historians, including Sir Ian Kershaw, Jonathan Riley-Smith, Beryl Williams and Eric Evans discuss the latest interpretations of their subject in short and accessible interviews. The series launches with:
By late September we will have added:
- The British Empire 1682-1982
- Russian & Soviet History 1850 to present.
- A History of China from the Opium Wars to present.
Throughout the Autumn the following podcasts will appear:
- Women's Political History from 1800 to the present day.
- British Social History and Reform 1800-2000
- German History from WWI to the end of WWII
The primary purpose of these podcasts is to provide students with valuable subject knowledge of these periods and an understanding of the big questions students should be asking themselves when tackling these particular areas.
We are hoping to cover the entire A Level history syllabus so that we can give you and students across the country access to academics and current thinking.
