Joan Lewin Bursaries 2012 - Applications Open
Following another great response to Joan Lewin education bursaries last year, we bring you news of this years' bursary applications.
Thanks to a legacy left by Joan Lewin, the Historical Association is able to offer a number of bursaries of up to £1000 to the teacher or small group of teachers who are able to demonstrate their ability to further the cause of history in schools or colleges.
This year, the same general application rules as detailed below will apply, although this year, repetition of topics/areas covered by last years' successful applicants will not be considered. Applications will open from January 31st. Expressions of interest must be delivered by March 31st and shortlisted full applications by May 31st. If you have a great idea for a project and would like to apply for bursary funding then please complete an expression of interest (attached below) and return it to Melanie Jones on melaniej@history.org.uk by March 31st 2012.
Possible proposals could entail:
- Research into an aspect of teaching and learning, the curriculum or organisation of history in schools that has not been undertaken before
- The production of teacher guidance resources or CPD materials
- The production of pupil resources
