HA Annual Conference 2010 – Doing History

The 2010 Annual Conference takes place at Sheffield Hallam University on 14th and 15th May 2010. We have two fantastic days of workshops, talks, visits and much more. This Conference will cater for all our education practitioners, as well as our general enthusiasts.
A great line up of speakers including Dr Andrew Foster, Dr Trevor James, Dr Nick Barratt, Ian Luff, Dr Nicola Sheldon, Professor Robert Shoemaker, Professor Venessa Toulmin, Ben Walsh, Dr Lucy Worsley and many others. Plus the Presidential Lecture from Professor Anne Curry and our key note address from Professor Justin Champion makes this a conference not to be missed!
Keynote Address
Professor Justin Champion (Royal Holloway University) is a strong proponent of public history. He has been involved in several TV and radio shows about British history, including the Channel 4 drama documentary The Great Plague in 2001, and the ITV documentary series Kings and Queens in 2003.

The panel includes: Dr Michael Riley (Director of the Schools History Project.); Anastasia de Waal (Deputy Director of Civitas); Colin Jones (President of the Royal Historical Society and Professor of History at Queen Mary, London); Nicolas Kinloch (Author and former Head of History at Netherhall School & Sixth Form College)
