The Midlands History Forum are delighted that Professor Carl Chinn is going to provide their key note presentation at what promises to be a crucially important conference for anyone involved in teaching history or indeed education in general. Our range of workshops will provide insights into different ways in which Community Cohesion and History can be explored with children. They are particularly pleased to continue our links with the History Teacher Education Network (HTEN) through a workshop provided by Gary Mills. Finally, we would like to thank Birmingham University, School of Education for hosting this conference.

10.00 am Key Note Session: ‘History Does Matter' - Professor Carl Chinn, University of Birmingham. Professor Carl Chinn is a renowned academic, expert in and champion of local history, broadcaster, newspaper columnist, author and historian.
