Hamleys' favourites @ Museum of London
On the 30 August 2010, iconic London institutions, the Museum of London and Hamleys are teaming up to celebrate the opening of the Galleries of Modern London and the 250th anniversary of the opening of the famous London toy shop.
An assortment of exciting activities is planned at the Museum of London to mark the occasion. There will be magic plastic balloon making, traditional toy demonstrations, a chance to play with some of the shop's bestsellers, face painting and a magician to dazzle visitors. Oh, and of course, there will be a chance to meet the Hamleys bear!
On top of this, an amazing activity trail has been created. The trail explores the museum's toy collection and gives families a chance to learn about the capitals favourite playthings from the past to the present. Everyone who does the trail can enter a draw to win £250 worth of Hamleys' vouchers.
