50 Things You Need To Know About British History

The History Channel and Teachers TV have created a great set of online resources for the classroom. These include fantastic teaching packs which contain a downloadable classroom wall timeline, lesson starters, depth study guides and ideas that develop a sense of chronology through "big picture" thinking.
Teachers can download short clips taken from the television series 50 Things You Need To Know About British History. The short clips cover many of the key moments from British history such as Stonehenge, Abolition of Slavery, Peasants' Revolt, Ulster Plantations, Suffragettes, Windrush and much more. There is also a series of short programmes called 10 Things That Make Us British? Plus some exclusive new video content from Terry Deary - author of Horrible Histories.
