A Quick Guide to museums and Galleries on the Internet
Museums and galleries are becoming increasingly concerned with their relevance to schools and are more obviously emphasising different ways of learning and helping to remove barriers to learning and understanding. Most museums and galleries have an Education Department, whose focus is to facilitate schools’ visits and try to harness pupil interest in their collections and exhibitions. Laudable though this is, what happens when your school is miles away from the city hosting the perfect exhibition for the topic being studied by Year 5?
