Our 2013 Annual Conference will take place in York on Friday 10 May and Saturday 11 May at the Park Inn Hotel, York.

Our two Conference days will be packed with fantastic lectures, teaching workshops, historical visits and more, and will cater for all our education practitioners and history enthusiasts.

Conference Programme Highlights

Keynote Speeches include:

Sir Richard Evans on Writing the history of 19th century Europe, Marc Morris on The Norman Conquest, Jackie Eales on Elizabeth I

The General history pathway includes talks from Stuart Carroll, Mark Ormrod and Alan Forrest, amongst others. 

Primary and Secondary education pathways include a wide variety of workshops offering the latest ideas, resources and support in primary and secondary history. CPD certificates available for every session attended.

Visits include York Minster, Cliffords Tower and Micklegate Bar.

This year we are once again offering a Heritage Pathway with sessions from York Minster, English Heritage, Vindolanda, York Archaeological Trust, The National Archives and more.

New to Conference this year is our Enrichment Pathway which will include sessions from history education specialists from a wide variety of backgrounds to enable you to enrich your knowledge and share good practice in a variety of contexts.
