Teachers TV to become an exclusively online service

Teachers TV is set to become an exclusively online service from Summer 2010.  Over the last couple of years there has been a huge increase in demand from viewers for videos that can be watched online at any time and downloaded anywhere.  In line with this, online consumption has grown leading to a 42% increase in online streams and downloads of Teachers TV content.  As a result, Teachers TV has taken the decision to stop broadcasting on all television channels and to focus all of its attention on its online service.

When is the service becoming exclusively online?

The channel will cease broadcasting this summer.  Freeview will close first at the end of July and Virgin, Sky and Freesat will follow on 31 August 2010.

What are the benefits of Teachers TV online?
