Education and Suffrage Conference

Calling all Teachers who are planning resources or already teaching classes on suffrage.  Do you have some resources or teaching methods you would like to share?  Would you like to get ideas and network with university lecturers and students who are working on the topic?  Are you interested in the latest digital resources available or would you like to make others aware of them?

The Bedford Centre for the Hisory of Women at Royal Holloway, University of London and The Centre for the History of Women's Education at Winchester are jointly running an international conference on Education, College Women and Suffrage 13-14th June 2018.  In conjunction with the Historical Association, we are running a whole strand devoted to teaching and learning about women's suffrage in schools.  We welcome proposals for individual or group presentations, demonstrations, discussion panels or the opportunity to showcase work by your students.  So do get get writing and send your proposals to our Conference Administrator  Alexandra.Hughes-Johnson.2013@live.rhul.ac.uk by Friday 22nd December (or later??).  Our conference website will be going live very soon, but if you have any questions or concerns please contact Alex, or Bedford Centre co-Director Dr Nicola Phillips N.J.Phillips@rhul.ac.uk, we are happy to help.
