Global Learning Project - Hawkshead Primary

GLP Case Study

By Author: Joyce Hallam. Produced by Simon Brown., published 29th April 2015

Hawkeshead Primary School in the Lake District is a small village school, with a teaching head. Yet they have gone to great pains to integrate the ideals of Global Learning into their curriculum. They are an Expert Centre, leading a team of 20 local schools - primary and secondary - through the aims and ideas of Global Learning. In this short series of podcasts the Head Teacher, Joyce Hallam, explores the clear links between GLP and history teaching and learning, explaining the processes they went through and the decisions they made along the way, and especially the impact it has had upon children's progress and learning.

If you are interested in exploring global learning through your history curriculum then this is a quick guide to the process.
