It is the year 3002 AD. The spaceship hovers over the surface of the earth, locked in to the spot where the Bolham time capsule is buried.

One thousand years ago the fifteen 9 and 10 year old pupils of Bolham School, Devon, prepared a time capsule that tells about Bolham village's history in the fifty-year reign of Queen Elizabeth from 1952-2002 AD.

The captain of the spaceship uses his lasers to open up the time capsule so that he and his crew can read the CDROM . The CDROM contains what the children had found out about Bolham; for example, maps, plans, photographs, school logbooks, drawings, interviews, stories, newspapers and tape and video recordings.
