From Cyrus to Cleopatra: The ancient history adventure

HA webinar series in partnership with The Classical Association

Have you thought about offering Ancient History at Key Stage 3, GCSE or A-level?

This webinar series, offered in collaboration with the Classical Association, explores how ancient history can be embedded across the key stages at secondary level. Across this series, we will show you how teaching ancient history is relevant today, enriches modern classrooms and gives learners the opportunity to explore some key and distinct ancient civilisations, such as Persia, Greece and Rome. These sessions are led by practicing ancient history teachers and academics who will demonstrate how the study of ancient history can engender a wide sense of diversity and inclusion in the curriculum, as well as a deeper and broader understanding of the past. This series is a fantastic opportunity if you’re interested in what teaching ancient history can offer you and your students, but don’t know where to start. Whether you’re a key stage or department lead, or a teacher looking to develop your experience, we will show you how Ancient History can drive educationally important conversations and enhance historical skills through new and exciting material.
