The Origins of the Second Great War

Classic Pamphlet

By W. N. Medlicott, published 9th November 2012

The Interwar Years

This pamphlet provides a detailed account of  the events leading up to the outbreak of war in 1939, covering the various factors that played a role in the outbreak of war such as tension over Poland and the Spanish Civil War, as well as the nature and effect of diplomatic negotiations between the great nations of the time. Published within a year of the outbreak of war it provides a viewpoint which is unfortunately often overlooked in favour of more modern accounts. Medlicott reaches a brief conclusion about the primary cause of the Second World War which, rather than being unique or revisionist, offers further weight to an already existing Historical argument, which may prove useful to readers. Anyone with an interest in the Second World War, the diplomacy of the interwar years, or contextual historical accounts of the Second World War and its origins would enjoy this pamphlet.
