In this podcast Dr Hakim Adi gives an introduction to 20th Century African and Caribbean British History.

1. Britain the centre of the British Empire - the formation of African Organisations to confront colonialism, racism and discrimination.
2. Migration from Africa and the Carribean during the World Wars. Daniel Tull and war volunteers.
3. The re-building of post war Britain - mass migration from the Caribbean and Africa. Becoming an integral part of the British community.
4. Problems faced by the Black British Community since the 1950s. The emergence of a Black British identity.
5. A bridge between Britain, Africa and the Caribbean.
