Session 3: Practical approaches to similarity and difference

This session will give teachers tips on how to explore similarity and difference in a meaningful way in the primary classroom. It will look at introducing the concept in Key Stage 1 to more developed use of it in Key Stage 2, for example similarity and difference in the earliest civilisations. The session will show how to demonstrate that similarity and difference can be nuanced and will support with getting children to move beyond basic ideas
