Sophie Takes To The Sky

Matthew's review
I really liked this book because it was great to see Sophie get over her fears. Sophie was the most interesting character because she was the main character in the story. I didn’t like Sophie’s sister because she was mean to Sophie.

The story was set in the past before people had cars and they would ride around in a horse and carriage. It was interesting to see that they had no technology such as mobile phones or computer games.

The plot was exciting and serious because it followed a very nervous Sophie overcoming her fears.

It was really exciting when Sophie went to have a look in the hot air balloon but then set off into the air by mistake.

I would definitely recommend this book to other children because it is really fun to read.

I learnt about what fun fairs were like in the olden days.
