Mark of the Cyclops

I didn't enjoy the book because the story had new characters which were not used properly. This book is a Greek mystery and had things that didn't make sense like the story of Thrax talking to the captain about the mouse and how he had a way to predict the rightful owner. The chapter names are based around one little detail which is not the main part of the chapter. The worst thing is that the author has added a bunch of words which do not make sense with what the story is based around.

The settings in the book are The Palace, The pottery shop , The play and The ship

The main characters in this story are, Thrax, Master Ariston, Mistress Fotini, Master Lykos Mistress Pandora, Master, Zenon and The cyclops gang

The plot was that someone had broken multiple vases so Him and Thrax had to solve the mystery of who broke the vase.

From this book I have learnt that a long time ago, people were taken hostage and used as slaves. Life was unfair for certain people back then and there was no democracy.

I would definitely recommend this book to other people. I would because you can learn some things while just enjoying reading the book. I would recommend this book to people from 10-17

I LOVED THE BOOK.  It was amazing and now it is my favourite book. It kept me questioning what would happen next I will definitely buy more books by the author Saviour Pirotta

The illustrations helped me to properly understand what was happening and they went together really well with the words.

I would definitely rate this a 6/5

Mark of the Cyclops is a very gripping mystery book in which the scribe, Nico, and his friend Thrax unravel a Greek mystery about four pots and a Cyclops.  I greatly enjoyed this book and I like how it was set in the time of the Greeks since I find their time very interesting.  The history in the book was very good; it made me feel like the events actually happened but the history teachers forgot!  This book made me want to learn more about history and read more books by Saviour Pirotta.  I especially liked that his book shows that, even though most people think that in Greece only the famous masterminds are clever, slaves and scribes can be even wiser.

Mark of the Cyclops is a really good book.  My favourite character was Mistress Fotini because she is kind and always keeps her promises.  This book was related to the history of the Ancient Greek gods.

My favourite part of the book is when Nico and Thrax find the thief.  This book definitely makes me want to read more books by this author.  I love studying the Greek gods and I would love to read more about them.  Nico's new friend Thrax has a knack of figuring things out and when a valuable wedding vase is broken, his special skills come in useful.

Join Nico and Thrax as they unravel the mystery of the Mark of the Cyclops.

This book is about two boys who are slaves, when suddenly a valuable wedding vase is broken. Vico and Thrax search for the 'Mark of the Cyclops'.

I enjoyed this book. However, towards the end I found the part with the graves a bit creepy. The chapter titles created a lot of suspense and kept me wanting to read more!

My favourite part was when Thrax pretended he had sunstroke. The Ancient Greeks would have believed the sections about the gods that are in this book. It made me want to learn more about the ancient Greeks but I would not want to read any more books in this series.

I didn't really enjoy it because it didn't grip me when I started to read it. And I didn't like the titles of the chapters. Or the new slave for master Aristion. It was set in the Greek times which I know about from Percy Jackson. I didn't really like the slave and the Cyclops wasn't really realistic.

It's about a princesses wedding vase which someone attempts to steal but they drop and smash taking one piece with them . Two boys called Nico and Thrax act as detectives to find out who did.

I like the funny characters like the cook who snores and the two detectives because they were adventurous and funny.

I loved the story of the book and the big plot twist at the end was very good! It made me want to read more books by this author. My favourite scene in this book was in the grave yard because I could really imagine it with the shadow flitting behind stones and it made me feel tense. My most liked character was Bek, the Cyclops.

I thought this book was interesting and I enjoyed it. I thought that the history in this book was realistic and it made me want to find out more about this part of history. I would like to read more books by this author as it was one of the best books I have read.

I enjoyed the book because it was very mysterious when they were trying to find out who broke the vases.

I think there was a special character and it was Thrax, because he was a person who would not give up even though he was a slave.

My favourite event was when Thrax and Nico were in the boat. I think the history was very realistic because back then they all believed in gods, including Zeus, Poseidon, Iliythia, Hermes, Hera, Herphactus, Dionysus, Athena, Asclepius, Apollo and Aphrodite.

The book did make me want to find out more about history because now I know they were a ery interesting civilisation.

This book made me want to red more books by Saviour Pirotta because he makes them very gripping and exciting.

This book made me feel like I was really there. I really enjoyed it.

I enjoyed the book because I like Greek mythology and history. My favourite character was Gaia because she was honest and kind. My favourite event was when they found out that it wasn't a cyclops he just got his eye plucked out. My favourite place was the secret door in the kitchen and I want one too! Because no one would know and it might be a door to a different world. I didn't think it was realistic because it was too magical. It didn't make me want to learn more about history, it made me want to learn more about myths. It was good! I want to read more books by this author.
