Outreach and Audience

The Historical Association was founded in 1906 with the intention of supporting everyone interested in the study and teaching of history. Today it has around 45 branches throughout the UK, and over 10,000 individual, corporate and associate members.

Each of the HA branches organises a programme of talks and events each year, and we would like to encourage new speakers to join our list of those willing to speak to us about their research.

Lecturing to branch members is also an effective way of achieving impact for research.

The HA branches can also help to arrange other joint events with university departments. We do hope you will consider joining our list of speakers.
