Description: Details Professor Katharine Hodgson will be talking about what it was like to be a writer in the Soviet Union in the 1930s and 1940s, describing the mechanisms used to exert state control over literature, and the various ways in which writers responded to this challenging environment.
How to book: Arrive at Reception at Exeter College and sign in. You will be directed to the right room or lecture theatre. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to allow time to sign in and find the lecture venue.
