Richards has also published articles in Past & Present, Comparative Studies in Society and History, and Modern Intellectual History. Richards cocurated the exhibition, Black Atlantic: Power, People, Resistance, held in Cambridge, UK, in 2023–2024. He coedited the accompanying catalogue.
