Description: In this meeting of the Teach Environmental Histories network, Sophie Pinkham presents a brief talk exploring key themes from her book 'The Oak and The Larch: A Forest History of Russia and its Empires'. Her lecture will then be followed by a presentation from history teacher Alistair Dickins on how he has incorporated this scholarship into his teaching of Russian/Soviet history, and reflections on its broader uses and implications for history teachers.
