May 2012 marks a special birthday for the Grimsby Branch of the Historical Association. To celebrate, the President, Professor Jackie Eales, will speak on the English Civil Wars on Friday May 18^th at 7pm.

All are welcome at this event. It will take place at the Markham Hall, St James's School, Bargate, Grimsby, DN34 4SY.  The evening will begin at 7pm (not 7-30pm as previously advertised). Entrance is free to Historical Association members, and £4.00 for visitors. Parking is available on site or in the surrounding streets.

Celebrations will also include a day trip to Harrogate on Saturday May 19^th. One of the highlights will be a guided tour of this historic Yorkshire town.
