Case Study: Hit the net!

Primary History's editorial team set me the challenge of seeing how useful ICT would be in my teaching. The challenge was timely, as I recently inherited a Year Six History class with its unit of work "Life in Britain since the 1930s".

Having taught predominantly KS1, this invoked both feelings of excitement and sheer panic! So I hit the net. My starting point was how I always plan and prepare a Unit  of Work, i.e. the ICT was only used to make things better, building on and augmenting existing expertise. I discovered that the Internet in general and YouTube in particular was a cornucopia, stuffed with goodies from an Aladdin's cave. So here is my report on the planning phase of my Unit of Work...
