Using an artefacts loans service Within the UK there is a wealth of museums and heritage sites across the country, offering children, young people and teachers the chance to experience a hands on approach to history and telling the story of our past. However if you are unable to visit one of these museums perhaps due to the locality of your school, nature of the pupils or financial constraints have you considered the option of bringing the museum to you?

In Leeds, the local authority has a fantastic service called Artemis. This service circulates artefacts and original artwork to Leeds local authority schools, working closely with other Leeds City Council partners such as Libraries, Museums and Galleries.
