When you hear the word ‘Petra’ what images does the word conjure up for you? Maybe you have visited and know it already; if not, then like me you may not fully comprehend its size. I naively thought I could ‘get Petra done’ in a couple of hours. I thought it was just Al-Khazneh (The Treasury) until my daughter put me straight. Laughingly she said ‘Mum, the site is huge, you won’t cover it all in two days let alone two hours’. In the end I chose to see what I could in one day...
