Tristan argues that the greatest failure of the Age of Revolutions was the lack of change for lower class people because their freedom, power and representation remained limited despite change. He does this by taking into account the French Revolution of 1789, the treatment of the working class in Britain during the Industrial Revolution and the collapse of German uprisings following the French Revolt of 1848.
