Fatima Baraghani lived in nineteenth century Persia and was a poet, a religious leader and a campaigner for women’s rights. She was born sometime between 1814 and 1919, the exact date is not known, into an influential Persian family – the Baraghani family. Her father and one of her uncles were particularly influential at the Royal court in a number of ways, including as religious scholars...
