I enjoyed this book because the way they described the mermaid was AMAZING!

The character I found most interesting was Dot because she can get another potato without the dinner lady noticing. I didn’t like miss Tucker because she is mean to people. I thought the plot was sad because children are treated like slaves.

I would recommend this book because if you like the Victorians you will love this book.
