Problem for the history mentor: Tom Clarkson is worried that he will not have enough A level teaching experience to teach Year 12 effectively next year.

Tom Clarkson is well into his second teaching placement and fears that the outline plans on his timetable for working with Year 12 will actually give him few opportunities to plan and teach AS level lessons. At first he welcomed his mentor's intentions to introduce him to A level work gradually, as he was very nervous about the responsibility and the topic taught was not one with which he was familiar. However, especially since he has begun preparing for job interviews, he is becoming acutely conscious that he has relatively little time left in which to gain worthwhile experience...
