In this article, we explore examples of children’s writing, from an archive of children’s writing from 1975 to 1988. We consider how these artefacts can be used to supplement the teaching of history in Key Stage 1, with a particular focus on shopping, technology and the environment. The artefacts that we use are all available on our website www.writingovertime.org.uk.
