In the autumn of 2009 I agreed to contribute to a project looking at how Saltaire village, Bradford could be developed as an educational site. This is a very popular site visited by many local schools, yet has little in the way of facilities or learning resources to help teachers in preparing for the visit or to support them while onsite. The project planned to look at how the development of resources would enhance the quality of the learning experience for children visiting the site and above all to ensure the visit was much more than just adding to their factual knowledge.
