In her winning speech, Shivanii argues that the Industrial Revolution failed the people of its era, is still failing and will continue to fail. According to Shivanii, the Industrial Revolution didn’t achieve its objective of transforming society for the better because its damaging psycho-social effects live on, making it the biggest failure of the Age of Revolutions.
