Simon Harrison studied history at the University of York and went into a teaching career. Now headteacher of a school in Hampshire, Simon explains what got him into history in the first place as well as how his study of history and the transferable skills it brings has helped him in his managerial role as a headteacher. Simon's advice is to study what you enjoy. He has developed a life-long love of history and still reads a wide range of history books today.
