1900–present

The period 1900-present day represents a huge turning point in world history and the scene of two world wars. In addition to a study of the Holocaust, topics of study could include (but should not be limited to) the causes, events and effects of the First and Second World Wars and the rise of dictators. Other topics include women's suffrage, the changing role of women in society, changing attitudes to different groups in society, the end of empire and Indian independence, migration to and from Britain and social, political and technological change after 1945.

In this section you'll find resources to support a home-learning study of this period. We'll add further resources as they are submitted.
